Hi All,

I was wondering if you can give me directions on basics of search
engine programming. I have a strong background in machine learning and
data mining but I never ventured into the search engine and text
domains. I got started with the basics of information retrieval from
the Chris Manning book. I also want to start building something. I do
understand that building a full search engine is not practical, but I
want to take on programming components of a search engine so that I
can get some hands-on. Resources or links or suggestions would be very
helpful.

Thanks a lot.

Regards
Sandeep.
